Convinced by the capacilty of economically vulnerable population to raise savings, Afriland First Bank has always been involved in the promotion of community community based development.
Afriland First Bank provides support services to those who have no access to the banking system (women, rural populations, micro-entrepreneurs). In partnership with other institutions, it has initiated the creation of appropriate banking structures to meet the specific needs of these segments of the population. These are:
- MUFFA (A savings and credit cooperative for African Women) meant especially for women, to help them raise savings and have access to traditional banking services.
- MC²s rural development microbanks.
- MITFUND (micro Trust Fund), where micro-entrepreneurs can obtain loans ranging from CFA 100 000 up to 5 million Francs.
