Careers

Our human resources philosophy is underpinned by the triad of liberty-responsibility-fairness.

Liberty :
Staffs are free to manage their careers as they wish, to set goals as they wish, to achieve their goals at their own pace, and even free not to achieve them…

Responsibility :
Responsibility is so important to us, considering that liberty leads to responsibility. While the organisation defines the conditions for optimal development and open social dialogue, staffs individually pave their way, define the pace at which they pursue their career profiles and reap the rewards of their choices.

Fairness :
Staffs are rewarded according to the risks they take, the initiatives they develop and the determination with which they defend and sell their ideas to the company for the purpose of creating value. We have understood that there are only three ways to create wealth: work, knowledge, and self-confidence.

Experience and collegiality play a key role in the daily implementation of the liberty- responsibility-fairness triad.

Experience is the sum of mistakes made in the past. While consider the mistake of our staff or managers as a learning or instructive opportunity, a repeated mistake becomes a mistake and is detrimental to the common interest.

Common sense prescribes a concerted decision making process. Teamwork is our driving force. We value the search for consensus through discussions because that is the source of light. We recognise that every individual has limitations and is weak like a single broom twig, but together, we are a broom, impossible to break. At Afriland First Bank, we believe that the group is more than the mere sum of its parts.
